Welcome! River Detectives is an education program initiative of Catchment Management Authorities that supports teachers and leaders to get young people connecting to their local waterway.

Schools and youth community programs can apply to be a part of the program which if successful allows your group to lend to a water monitoring kit, for the teacher/leader to attend training sessions and the ability to access more activities, resources and an interactive data recording portal on this website. Spaces in the River Detectives program are limited. If you are interested in applying to be a part of the program complete the form in the APPLY section and a local coordinator will be in touch shortly.

Currently River Detectives have two upcoming projects that you can get involved in as a non-River Detective school. The details are below.

The River Detectives program invites schools to come and learn more about turtles to help them celebrate World Turtle Day. Join Graham Stockfeld (Turtles Australia) who works with the community to monitor, raise awareness and protect turtles.
